Cover Design: Paul E. Cooley’s “MIMES”

Synopsis: “Joseph is having a bad day. Between the scorching temperature inside his truck, and his jerk of a boss, it couldn’t possibly get any worse. And then he begins to see sinister-looking mimes around the city of Houston. As more of the silent, ominous clowns appear during his deliveries, Joseph starts to wonder if he’s losing his mind. MIMES is a horror story that will make sure you never see Marcel Marceau the same way again.”

Design Notes: Aside from his Garaaga series and the work he is doing for Severed Press, Paul is also releasing a series of short novellas features creatures and evil forces. Entitled The Dark Recesses Collection, each volume of the series will focus on a single dark story. And of course, to test my own personal phobias to the limits, Paul decided to release “Mimes” as the first one on the series. Dark, evil, and communicable mimes, taking over the world. *shudder* A little too close to my clown phobia for comfort. To make it worse, I ramped up the creepiness factor with my heavily modified stock photo. Damn… that mouth and those eyes really freak me out…

Where can I get this book? All of Paul E. Cooley’s released works can be found over on his http://www.amazon.com author page. You can also find his works over at his author page at http://shadowpublications.com.
